Solea Laser - Comfortable Treatment with Laser Technology
Imagine dental visits where there are no needles or drills. Going to the dentist gives most people various levels of anxiety, mostly revolving around the needles used for injected anesthetics and also with the high pitched sound and vibrations of dental drills. Modern laser technology solves this issue. At Jackson Family Dentistry, we use an all-tissue laser called Solea that enables us to complete more than 60% of all filling procedures painlessly without anesthesia.
This means no pain, no needles, no numb feeling, and no drills other than what is needed to polish the filling once it is placed. Appointment lengths are reduced significantly, more fillings can be completed per visit, and patients are able to return to their lives without being numb for hours following the procedure.

Benefits of using Solea Laser Technology at Jackson Family Dentistry
- Greater comfort – Compared to a dental drill or scalpel, the specially calibrated laser offers a significantly higher level of comfort. The laser doesn’t produce the unsettling noise that a drill might, and the more precise nature of the laser minimizes collateral trauma to nearby teeth and/or oral tissues.
- No need for anesthesia – The greater precision provided by laser treatment helps minimize the potential discomfort of your procedure. In fact, up to 90% of the treatments we perform using the Solea Laser are performed without the need for local anesthesia.
- Enhanced precision – The Solea Laser’s minimally invasive nature stems from the enhanced precision it provides when sculpting tooth structure or trimming soft oral tissues. The concentrated, specially calibrated laser can sculpt your tooth or reshape your gum tissues with greater precision, and therefore, more satisfactory results.
- Reduced risks of infection – In addition to making your treatment more comfortable and precise, the use of our Solea Laser helps make the healing process faster and more convenient. The minimally invasive nature of your procedure means there’s a lower risk of infection or the development of an oral health concern following your treatment.
Invisalign - The Clear, Discreet Option to Straighter Teeth

How would you like to straighten your teeth and correct common orthodontic conditions without the need for noticeable, uncomfortable metal braces?
Invisalign® teeth aligners involve no brackets or wires and are designed to provide patients with more discreet orthodontic treatment.

Invisalign vs. Braces.. What's the difference?
Compared to traditional metal braces, the key advantages of Invisalign include:
Dr. Jackson will meet with you for an initial consultation and perform a comprehensive oral evaluation along with our team to determine if Invisalign is the best option for your needs.
- Custom-designed teeth aligners that appear virtually invisible on the teeth
- Aligners are removable for daily oral hygiene routines, as well as eating and drinking
- Greater comfort than traditional metal braces

What is the Invisalign treatment like?
Once your individualized treatment plan has been created, an impression of your teeth will be made to provide the blueprint for your customized Invisalign® teeth aligners.
When the aligners have been created, you will be given a series of them to take home. Each set of aligners will be worn for two weeks, and then discarded for the next in the series. The aligners are slightly modified from the set that comes before it in order to very gradually move the teeth into a more desirable position.

How long does Invisalign take?
Many patients achieve optimal results after about 9 to 15 months; however, some patients may meet their goals even sooner.
Although the aligners are removable, Dr. Jackson advises patients to wear them as much as possible throughout the day to ensure the best results.
In the end, exact treatment length will vary from patient to patient based on one’s specific dental needs.

Does insurance cover Invisalign? And how much does it cost?
A number of dental insurance policies include coverage for orthodontics.
If your insurance plan covers or partially covers orthodontic treatment, it is likely that these benefits apply to treatment with Invisalign®.
A member of our dental team will be happy to answer any questions you may have about insurance for this procedure.
There are a number of factors that will ultimately determine the total expense of your Invisalign® treatment, including your orthodontic needs, the length of time it will take to complete your treatment, and the number of aligners that will be used.
The exact cost will be based on your unique goals and needs, all of which will be reviewed in your consultation.
After your detailed treatment plan has been created, we can provide you with a more accurate price quote. Some insurance policies will cover a portion of the treatment, and our dental staff can help you navigate through your benefits.
Should you wish to finance part or all of your treatment, our office accepts a variety of payment plans including CareCredit®.
